So it doesn't matter how much spicy is the pepper?, because here in Mexico we have plenty of spicy peppers, I think that if a give Rexie a "chile Habanero" she would kill me because is one of the most spicy peppers!. I think I'm gonna stay with bell peppers lol.

I was thinking....even if they don't feel the spicy of the peppers, is it ok for their intestine?, because lots of spicy peppers for us can hurt of irritate ours, does it happen the same with our green iguanas?

It's fine for their intestines, too. Now this doesn't mean to go ahead and feed them just peppers...like for a treat...but mixed in with their salad is perfectly acceptable...:-)

What foods would you consider "treats"?

Treats are just those occasional foods you only feed once in awhile, such as fruits and flowers. Here's a chart to give you an idea of what just some of those items are. www.greenigsociety.org/foodchart.htm

Today I mixed in green peppers with acorn squash, collard greens, green beans, and 2 grapes. Does that sound alright?

It's better. Do you have a store that sells Dole mixed greens? There's one called Mediterranean Blend that is EXCELLENT for iggy salads. And since your having a bit of a hard time finding good greens - that will help immensely.

Is the Dole mix/bled sold and most grocery stores? I'll look tomorrow. I'm just trying to find whats best to carry my iggy in when taking him to the vet tomorrow? My friend says pillow case but I think he'd/she'd be traumatized for life. Their not like snakes.

No indeed, they are not snakes! Bagging an iguana is a bad idea. For transport, a simple sterilte tote with air holes and a towel in the bottom will do just fine. The darkness will cause the ig to just go to sleep.

Hmmm I must try giving Eki some jalepenos then.. He loves all of the food he's ever tried. he's been given a steady treat of mango and strawberries this season so far. He adores mango. But never tried the hot peppers. I know he's one of those igs that will eat citrus with no issue. He likes oranges and tomatoes. But hasn't had them in a long time.
